A select board meeting will be held on Tuesday evening, May 13, 2008 @ 7 PM. For all who might be interested.

Well, I for one won’t attend. Why bother? They never listen? They have made up their mind? They will back the manager/MRI, even if their is good evidence that they are lying. So why waste our energy and breath? I find Fred’s report on the new MRI study hilarious. Yes we paid them for a evaluation of the department, now we are going to pay them to evaluate their evaluation. Brilliant use of our limited resource! Here is a better thought, How about having MRI do an assessment to find the wast at the school? We can use those savings to fund our fire/police/EMT services.

Stew, goo dpoint, Did anyone ever receive this report with numbers, analysis, and recomendations? All I remember is watching the video from the gym floor where MRI cut down all of our departments and employees. Including the very unprofessional dressing down of a department head in public. The one where it mentioned that Jim bought bullets for the department, and that the previous chief bought used tires and cars. The one where we did not have enough officers on duty and that the liability of not having enough fire/police protection was too big of a risk to the town. The meeting where Mr. Sutton told the board and public that dispatch and highway should be outsourced and fire/police fully funded or eliminated because of liability. The one where we needed to capitalize more on the ambulance service revenues. With all if this told to us did anyone ever see the final report? Does it really exist?

Good questions, I have another, did any of it actually happen? Stew, I think Doug was referring to the question I asked about further study of the Police Department? I did mention that as a rumor but…

I’m sorry I didn’t make the meeting last night. I spent the day with my Grandson and walking and was a bit tired.
As I understand it, there was an executive session at 6 PM. Not sure which this was about but it’s high time we got things done above board instead of in the dark. I can’t prove it but I’ll bet the Police Chief issue was discussed. Seems to be the normal procedure in Windsor politics today. Tell no one nothing. Surprise em!

I BELIEVE THAT THE SB WILL REINSTATE JIM TO
THE POLICE DEPT. IT WOULD MAKE SENSE SEEING
THAT JIM WAS HONEST ABOUT THE CHIEFS POSITION
BEING TO MUCH PRESSURE .ALSO JIMS EXPERIENCE AND
KNOWLEDGE WILL SAVE THE INCOMING CHIEF LOTS OF TIME.
JIM IS A REAL ASSET TO THE TOWN AND POLICE DEPT.
